Trust yourself to know what belongs on the scales ⚖️
Libra Season and Fall Equinox arrive on Tuesday, September 21 at 8:05 PM EST.
Fall Equinox, or Mabon, gives us a taste of what perfect balance is. It leads by example, asking us to follow suit and welcome Libra season by assessing where the scales of our lives have become off-balance. Every expansion we grow into adds a little something to one side of the scale. Every contraction helps us release something that no longer belongs on our scales. Each Moon phase helps us continually work through this process until we have done it so much that we quit keeping track of where the scales landed.
Riding the Fire Horse through 2026 hasn’t exactly been a smooth gallop. For many of us, this year has felt more like being bucked around by change—constantly adjusting, healing, releasing, and trying to find our footing again. And that's exactly why this Equinox feels different. The constant change and healing we have overcome have made the pieces left on our scales feel almost unrecognizable, or at least unfamiliar and uncomfortable.
Libra Season and Mabon remind us that we create our own balance, harmony, and stability. It’s a moment to take a breath, see where all of your healing has brought your scales to stand, and see how expansion, new ideas, new energy, new relationships, and new opportunities can bring balance to the scales. Libra loves to be open-minded, imaginative, and sometimes unusual. Let it help coax out some of those suppressed dreams that were put to rest quickly out of fear, judgment, and unconventionality. Bring balance to the scale using creativity, enthusiasm, and purpose. There were ideas growing in your garden this year that you just haven’t been able to water and give enough attention to, but some miraculously survived—those are the ones ready to be put back on the scale and tended to.
Mabon represents harvest, balance, and release. We meet Libra season as the Moon is waxing into its fullness, asking us to find ways to grow into our own “fullness.” It’s a great time to bring things from your shadow into the light without judgment, start to have more understanding for them, and see what gifts there are to bring to the light. We started our internal harvest last week during the First Quarter Moon. We started with the harvest in illumination, but now, as the Moon moves further into illumination, we can do the same.
This year, your shadow work was different. It felt different, looked different, and hit different. For the first time, there were more times of comfort than there were of sadness while holding space in your shadow. It brought more capacity to sit beside the parts of yourself you once avoided without immediately trying to fix, judge, or release them.
Not everything we uncover in the dark is something we need to get rid of. There are desires we buried because they felt unrealistic. Parts of ourselves we quieted because they were misunderstood. Ideas we stopped tending because fear got louder than curiosity. Gifts that couldn't grow while we were still judging them.
For the first time, maybe your shadow has something to harvest too.
There is a lot asking to be put back on the scale right now—some aligned and some unaligned. It’s up to you to feel and know what is worthy of being on the scales. Ground into your sovereignty, your knowing, and trust what’s aligned for you in this new season.

TAROT CARD: JUSTICE ⚖️
The Justice Card symbolizes the equinoxes equal balance of light and dark. It’s wisdom brings us to look at our own scales in life and restore the balance. The imagery in of the sword reminds us of the action we have the power to take. And the Scales remind us of the balance we must always tend to in life because there is no darkness without the light, and no light without the darkness. There is a weight to the card that brings us back into our own sovereignty, awakening us to the pieces of us that are being drowned out by outside validation, asking us to step back into the role of “judge” of our own lives. It urges us to make the decisions that feel the most fulfilling and empowering to ourselves.
Every year we are brought back to this point in the Zodiac Wheel and every year we aren’t meant to restore the balance we previously learned to hold. We are meant to find balance in a new way, adapting to the new things we must hold while also learning to live without the things we were once comfortable having on our scales. Each year we become wiser, we trust ourselves more, and we understand what we want more. This is the time of year that asks us to trust those feelings and adjust our scales to align our lives in more harmony, happiness, and purpose. The Justice Card brings enthusiasm for your desires, the off-the-wall-dreams, and the unique projects your heart cast to your shadows. Use it to help guide your next steps in rebalancing your scales.
For this one, we want to use our Justice Tarot card but the spread doesn’t necessarily have to be used with Tarot Cards. And since, my oracle cards were calling to me for this one, I used. my oracle cards.
Ask: How can I hold more sovereignty as the Judge of my life?
Card 1: Represents the sword and the action need to be taken at this time.
Card 2: Represents what needs to be released from the scales.
Card 3: Represents what needs to be added to the scales.
Card 4: The outcome.
