Creating a Steady Commitment…
This Taurus Full Moon is coming into the spotlight on Sunday night at 9:12 PM PST, sharing her mama bear qualities by illuminating her patient, affectionate, and stable side. She is showing up at a point when we need to find steadiness in our next steps. The First Quarter Moon in Capricorn helped us see how we can find our footing in rocky terrain, while also giving us the tools to parent ourselves through this next chapter. Now, this Full Moon invites us to commit to the path with determination and find our steady rhythm.
In Taurean fashion, this energy comes at a clutch time for us. We have been preparing a lot and talking a lot about the journey ahead, but the Bull of the zodiac is ready to put it all into action. This is the point where so many quit before they even get started. The fear of failure begins to cloud the once-serene picture of where we're headed, making us question the strength we carry to get there. But Taurus is a sign we can count on to persevere when determination begins to waver.
Like a devoted mother, this Full Moon is holding us with faithfulness, knowing we might just need a moment of reprieve to drink up her strength and wisdom. A moment to regain our confidence in the commitment we've made to a path we can only feel through the depths of our hearts.
The lunar movement wants us to recognize that finding commitment requires creating space for commitment. And to do that, we must be willing to release the things that are keeping us from fully showing up for the path we've chosen.
This Full Moon sheds light on the habits, expectations, relationships, and beliefs that might be hindering the commitments we've declared but haven't yet developed the quiet dependability to sustain. Recognize when signs are pointing toward overindulgence, lazy tendencies, controlling relationships, stubborn expectations, or jealous and possessive energies that might be thriving secretly in your day-to-day life.
There is a difference between declaring a commitment and creating a life that supports it. Sometimes the work isn't about finding more determination, but recognizing what needs to shift so that our determination has room to grow. And sometimes, remaining devoted to the path requires giving ourselves the same patience and tenderness we would offer someone we love.
Taurus energy is earthy and quiet, urging us to find the calm spaces of our own minds throughout this process so we can see, hear, and feel the guidance. Bring yourself back to nature to bring yourself back to the quiet.
The Full Moon shows up only a few days after the Sun transits into Scorpio, and there are a few intuitive things pulling at me with this alchemy:
There is more support for laying the foundational pieces of the life you are building and the desires you are creating. Each Full Moon occurs in the zodiac sign opposite the Sun, creating a polarity between two signs that also share the same modality or quality. In this case, Taurus and Scorpio are both fixed signs. This doesn't typically stick out to me because it's a standard pattern in the circular dance, but this time, those fixed qualities feel especially significant following the Capricorn First Quarter Moon.
Capricorn Moons carry a note of can-do and will-do attitude. They know how to make things happen. Now, the fixed qualities of the Sun and Moon add another layer of foundational support, inviting us to remain steady, committed, and focused on the building blocks needed for a successful journey.
There is an emphasis on the qualities of the Full Moon itself. With the Full Moon arriving so early in this new Sun season, I feel an invitation to give more attention to the essence of this lunar phase. The Full Moon centers its qualities around emotion, forgiveness, gratitude, and celebration. Make an emphasis in your practice or ceremony on whichever of these qualities is calling to you.
It is time to give your higher self the same loyalty and commitment you give to your loved ones. The touch of Venusian influence reminds us that whatever journey we're on in life runs parallel to the self-love journey we're always cultivating through our relationship with ourselves. This is a spark to snap us back into applying the love we so freely give to others back to ourselves.
We can be determined without being hard on ourselves. We can remain committed while still offering ourselves patience, affection, and room to grow. Perhaps this is part of the steadiness Taurus is inviting us to find: becoming someone we can depend on, someone who continues showing up for the life we desire with the same devotion we offer the people we love.
You are your own greatest love.

Full Moon Ceremony | Composting Commitments
As we move into Scorpio Season, we're reminded of the regenerative nature of life. Just as the Earth takes what has fallen, decayed, and completed its cycle and transforms it into nourishment for what continues to grow, we too can work with this natural process of regeneration.
With the Taurus Full Moon illuminating our commitments, we're invited to bring this regenerative energy into the relationship we have with ourselves. Rather than planting new seeds, we're tending to what we've already begun cultivating, recognizing what needs to be released so that our commitments have the space and nourishment to thrive.
In this ritual, we'll return our commitments to the Earth, allowing the process of composting to symbolize the transformation of our intentions into the steady devotion needed to sustain them. As the paper breaks down and returns to the soil, we're reminded that growth doesn't always happen in ways we can see, and that our commitment to becoming requires patience, trust, and a willingness to keep showing up.
It’s so simple…
What you'll need:
A small piece of unbleached, uncoated brown paper (recycle a grocery bag or packing paper)
A pen, marker, or sharpie (you want this to last, it’s a commitment)
A quiet outdoor space with soil you can dig into, or a pot of soil
A commitment to your higher self that might have been started at the New Moon or throughout this year
1. Find Your Grounding
Find a quiet place where you can connect with the Earth. Take a few deep breaths, feeling the steadiness of the ground beneath you. Allow yourself to settle into the present moment, quieting the outside world so you can hear the guidance within.
2. Reflect on Your Commitments
Consider the path you've been cultivating and the commitments you've made to yourself along the way. What deserves more of your loyalty, patience, and devotion? Where are you being called to show up more consistently for yourself?
On your brown paper, write down what you're choosing to remain committed to. Allow your words to come from the heart, without expectations of how or when they will unfold.
3. Bless and Release
Hold the paper between your hands and take a moment to acknowledge the commitment you've written. Recognize the love, courage, and determination it takes to continue showing up for your own becoming.
Start to rip it up slowly and repeat this prayer:
In the name of love and willpower, I open my heartspace to the commitment on this paper.
I hold its energy in my heart, in my mind, in my body, and in the depths of my soul as a key for my future self.
I break its physical symbol down and offer it back to the Earth, trusting that each piece is now a fractal of the energy that will continue to return to me in divine timing, renewing life along this divine journey I am called to.
These pieces remind me of the abundance, nourishment, and restorative energy that can grow when connected to the intention and energy flowing from my vessel.
I know I will see, hear, and feel pieces of this commitment return to me. Let your heart be your guide
I trust its divine order in my life and throughout my journey, knowing that I carry the keys to unlock the opportunities that lie ahead.
And so it is.
As you speak your blessing, slowly tear the paper into small pieces. With each tear, imagine releasing the fears, expectations, and attachments that might be standing in the way of your commitment. You are not releasing your devotion to the path, only what no longer needs to accompany you along it.
4. Return Your Commitment to the Earth
Dig a small opening in the soil and gently place your pieces of paper inside. Cover them with the Earth and water them, allowing them to begin their slow process of decomposition and regeneration.
As the paper gradually returns to the soil, envision the energy of your commitment becoming part of the Earth's natural rhythm of transformation. Trust that even when growth is not visible, there is still movement beneath the surface.
5. Carry Your Commitment Forward
Take one final moment to connect with the Earth beneath you. Consider one small, intentional action you can take to honor your commitment in the days ahead.
Remember that devotion is not found in a single declaration, but in the steady rhythm of continuing to show up for yourself.
Return to this commitment with the same patience, affection, and loyalty you would offer someone you deeply love.
You are your own greatest love.
